most websites are built somewhere else. your words go to a server farm in another state. they get chopped up, stored, and sold back to you as a subscription. this one is built in a house in the 7th ward. one desktop. one graphics card. an open brain that runs on it. your brief, your photos, your drafts never leave the block. no meter running while it thinks. no terms of service on your words. no account to keep alive to keep your site alive. the only thing that leaves the house is the finished page, pushed to the web under your name. if the power goes out in a storm, the shop still works. the site just waits.
